"Skarab" - Original VALORANT Sentinel Agent

Being an avid fan and player of the game VALORANT, I wanted to be able to showcase some knowledge of the game and creativity by creating my own concept for a character. VALORANT is a tactical shooter created by Riot Games with different playable "Agents" with their own set of abilities. Skarab is built around the class of agents designed for defense. Taking inspiration from graverobbers and gravekeepers, I wanted to design her with a lot of gold jewelry that she utilizes to cast the powers she can use in-game.

These were my first sketches, studying different designs for jewelry as well as how to cover Skarab's face and body to match her theme of a thief.

I painted this design of Skarab and sketching some concepts for her abilities and how they would function. I based her color scheme around the colors of the undead based on Egyptian mythology, but I wasn't a fan of how it all blended together.
